Canadians Swarm to SMS

According to an industry trade group, SMS use in Canada has increased 98% in the eight months since Canada’s four major mobile operators created North America’s first inter-carrier text messaging network.

Interesting. We saw exactly the same phenomenon in the UK when cross-operator SMS was opened up 5 or so years ago.

Still no x-network SMS in the US then? Lack of standardisation as an barrier to commnuication….?
