A study by Swedish researchers shows that microwaves emitted by some cellphones kills brain cells in rats. Implications for the “mobile many” are unclear - there’s no evidence that the microwaves have a similar effect on humans. The researchers suggest that we exercise caution, just in case… use cellphones sparingly, and keep cellphones away from pet hamsters and gerbils.

Call me neurotic, but whenever I have my cell phone close to my body like on my hip or in a breast pocket, that area of my body aches, very subtle discomfort barely registering on a pain threshhold. Consequently, I do not cary my phone with me if at all possible. Could it be certain people are more sensitive to lo-band radiation than others?
