After reading this article, I am encouraged to see how quickly we are able to exchange inoformation in this day and age through the internet and other wireless forms of communication. I do not mean to make an anti-war or pro-war statement, however I think that it is good to explore the benefits of communication technology to support the war as well as opposed to simply organizing protests. Through the internet, e-mails, and alternate modes of wireless technology, we may also use these to function as modes of communication to support our troops who are fighting in Iraq, so that perhaps when they have internet acccess or are watching the news, they may see that we appreciate them and what they are doing for our country. All said, this is not to overlook what a phenomenal asset the internet is and the mass communication that it allows, I simply feel that in addition to organizing protests, the technology that we use on a daily basis may also be used in support of the war as well.

I was impressed by the degree of mobility and the evolved culture of mobile communications evidenced by this activity. That kind of connectedness is out of reach of most Americans, thanks to Japan’s superior technical infrastructure, and outside their ken as well.
