BBC To Launch Citizen Activism Site

A few years ago, I gave a speech to staff and interested stakeholders at the BBC about the role of the media in the political public sphere of democracies. Now, Wired News reports that the BBC, which operates under a royal charter to inform, educate, and entertain, is launching “iCan,” a service to support citizen activism.
