The Emergence of the Mobile Tech Smart Flash Mob
November 12th, 2003

This is another interview with Howard. This time, it is from Dana Greenlee, co-Host of WebTalkGuys Radio

Before going further, here is Howard wishing us a good day.

The interview starts with this short introduction.

The world is going wireless and most Americans are getting connected and mobile. The use of mobile wireless devices is changing how people interact socially. However, this wave of change has yet to really impact America.

The trend has already had dramatic impacts in Asia and Europe because of the rapid deployment and adoption of wireless communication technology. The technology of wireless effects how people behave in large groups of interconnected “smart mobs” or “flash mobs” using data-driven communications rather than voice.

I’m sure the title came from the reporter, but I still don’t like to see the notions of “smart mobs” and “flash mobs” mixed - or linked, like here.
