The three main Belgian mobile operators counted more than 22 million sms text messages on New Years Eve. Compared to a year ago this is an increase of 7 million messages. France Telcom daughter Mobistar, the number two on the Belgian market (6 million) saw the biggest growth with an increase of 25% . During peak hours between 2.00 en 4.30 Mobistar registered 420 sms-messages every second.
