More technology mediated elections in Ghana

Howard reported last February on Ethan Zuckerman’s comments at the O’Reilly’s Emerging Technology Conference regarding the use of cellphones and radio to monitor the Ghanaian election. Ethan notes that the presidential and parliamentary elections that began December 7 are also being monitored by technology: “the use of cellphones and live radio to monitor polling sites and report results, about CD-ROM based voter registers, and results processing software to help search for fraud.”
