Kuwait’s National Assembly approves Bluetooth sanctions

Kuwait’s National Assembly’s Legislative Affairs Committee approved on Saturday a governmental proposal to place stricter sanctions on misusing the feature of Bluetooth wireless technology, reports the Kuwait News Agency.

“Sanctions include two-year imprisonment or a heavy fine for taking pictures without the knowledge or consent of others, five-year imprisonment for illegal distribution and sharing these pictures, and 10-year imprisonment for using them as means of extortion and other immoral practices.”
