April 29th, 2005

Vietnam Views is an interactive online journal to capture the personal experiences of people who were involved in and affected by the Vietnam war. The launch of the site marked the 30th anniversary of the war’s end, and it will serve as a dynamic online history for soldiers, families, friends and others to share their stories from the war.

Kurt Voelker of Forumone comments: “Great example of creating a collective history – aggregating the world’s reflections on a major event, in this case, the Vietnam War. The project is sponsored by VVAF (Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation) for the 30th anniversary of the end of the war.”.

“We want to capture the story of the war, in first person, from as many perspectives as we can,” says Bill Belding, President of VVAF”.
