After a french provider offered a service called ProxiDating a dutch company now launched a service called Bluetoothdate.
Candidates for a ‘Bluetooth date’ list their profile on the website. When other members are present within a range of 10-15 meters distance both are noticed by their profile number. Connecting to the website reveals the corresponding profile in detail. Membership is free.
The service enables the ‘active search’ for ‘registered bluetoothdaters’ in a bus, train, pub or whereever. All it takes now to make this work is a massive scale of users. Therefore the makers anticipate on a ‘bluetoothdating hype’ among young people. The intellectual property of the idea is registered by Shield Mark in Amsterdam.
