Mountaineers currently carry a number of devices, which were never especifically developed for the context. The interfaces, software architecture, ergonomics, storage, wearability and power source on all the devices pose some form of problem to the users.

Anurag Sehgal introduces in this thesis a novel wearable system to replace the existing devices with a more ergonomic, lighter, power-economical and comfortable system.

The system is easier to use and offers mountaineers to intuitively access the existing features of all the current devices combined plus newer features that helps solve many existing needs and problems. The system is made specifically to the context of mountaineering and thus has apt and easy interaction techniques and
ensures to enrich the experience of mountaineers regarding the inevitable use of technologies.
