‘New Mobilities’ Blog
July 8th, 2005

Kingsley Dennis, a PhD candidate at Lancaster University, has set up a blog about mobilities for The Centre for Mobilities Research (CeMoRe) at Lancaster: called ‘New Mobilities: Ce-more about what’s happening in the mobile world‘. The centre aims to contribute to deciphering the increasingly problematic nature of a mobile world, by producing new theories, research and policy instrument, and to develop positive links and connections with individuals, groups and centres elsewhere. The blog was set-up as a way for all those interested in mobilities research to post links to articles, news, and smartmobby events, in the hope of getting news across to as many distributed researchers as possible. Kingsley hopes that more academics will get used to sending in their finds so that resources can be pooled - and it may arouse interest in blog-related academic research. Kingsley himself is examining blogging and complexity theory for his PhD dissertation and is theorising a complexity link with collective
intelligence.
