MIT wireless usage maps rolled out
November 15th, 2005

MIT has just rolled out its newly upgraded, and now campus-wide, wireless network. They have come up with an electronic map system to let users logon where there is the least traffic, to balance location logins and give everyone a strong signal. The maps are projected on Plexiglas in various locations or available online where they expire in 12 hours. The maps display red splotches to show where the highest usage is. The full story is in eSchool News.
