‘RFID’ fabrics and surfing for porn, the Israeli way
Why attach an RFID chip to a shirt when you can identify the shirt through undetectable, invisible chemicals mixed into the fibers?
That’s the question CrossID CEO Moshe Glickstein is posing to potential customers. The Israeli company has devised a way to put a chemical signature into fabrics, labels, inks, boxes and other materials.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign has hired Peter Daou, one of the most prominent political bloggers in the nation, to help disseminate her message in a forum that has not always been that hospitable to her. The move underscores the degree to which bloggers — the authors of Web logs, or blogs–have begun to transform American politics.

Think of it as a divining rod for the information age. If you stand on a street corner in Tokyo today you can point a specialized cell phone at a hotel, a restaurant or a historical monument, and with the press of a button the phone will display information from the Internet describing the object you are looking at.

Camera Phones Help Fight Bulge
Chubby nerds, rejoice! The battle of the bulge now has a high-tech weapon: the camera phone. Sprint cell-phone subscribers can sign up for MyFoodPhone, a service that gives diet advice when users e-mail cell-phone photographs of their meals and post details of their dietary habits online.

Mobile Phones Will Control Home Robots
Starting this autumn, 1,000 sophisticated robots will make people’s daily lives easier by cleaning up homes, taking care of pets or reading books for children. About half of the robots will be remote-controlled by cell phones.
