It seems to me that most everything we write about in SmartMobs.com can be seen in a very timely webpage I looked at this morning. New media and the communication it creates are something of a tangle of ideas in action that pop their heads up here and there, captivating and at times frightening folks. The online nest I refer to, where these things have hatched in profusion, is Wikipedia’s description of the movie Snakes on a Plane and of the media phenomena the flick has turned loose. In all seriousness, I can’t think of a more alive and striking example of a web creature on the edge of today’s media than the ‘Internet’ paragraphs from this Wikipedia article. (If you have not seen the movie, be careful not to read the ‘Plot’ paragraphs because they will spoil it for you. SoaP.)
