A SWAN to guide blind people

SWAN is a wearable computing system designed to help blind people navigate in unfamiliar environments. The most important component of the current prototype consists of special headphones called ‘bone phones,’ which send auditory signals via vibrations through the skull. This system might also be used by firefighters or soldiers.
