“Swedes sent 234m SMS messages this past summer - 89m more messages than were sent last year, says a study conducted by Nordic telco TeliaSonera,”this DMeurope article reports.”According to TeliaSonera, Swedes send more SMS messages during the summer than any other time of year. Of Swedish SMS messages that were sent abroad, the majority were sent to Norway (2.2m), followed by Russia (2m) and the UK (1m).The telco also noticed that summer SMS messaging starts later on in the day than usual, as well. In the summer, SMS messaging starts later in the day, with most SMS messages sent in the evening between 10 pm and 11 pm. At other times of the year, most SMS messages are sent between 9 pm and 10 pm”.
