Lithuania’s cabinet sessions and the mobile phone
September 26th, 2006

This article reports “Lithuania’s cabinet sessions can now be watched in real time and live per mobile phone, reports said Monday. “People are interested. We are looking for more such uses,” said Prime Minister Gediminas Kirkilas Monday in Vilnius when presenting the project which was “unrivalled elsewhere in Europe,” he said. Cabinet sessions usually held on Wednesdays were hitherto open to accredited journalists. But now anyone who subscribes to a large mobile communications network in Lithuania can watch the sessions live and see the footage”.
