Google iscelebrating its eighth birthday today, signified by using a birthday cake with candles in place of the first ‘o’ in Google on the company’s homepage.

The search engine giant was launched in September 1998, and although it doesn’t have an official birthday date it has said that it’s celebrating the anniversary today. [via NMA]
