“Victorian political parties are bypassing Commonwealth legislation by using the internet to broadcast last-minute political messages before Saturday’s election,”the age reports.”While the Commonwealth Broadcasting Services Act makes it illegal to broadcast political ads from midnight on the Wednesday before an election, Victorians can still view Labor’s attack on Ted Baillieu’s share portfolio at YouTube or on the ALP’s website.The Liberal Party is also making use of YouTube to post its ads attacking Steve Bracks’ “No tolls” backflip”.
