Using Web 2.0 - Is there an Underground Art Movement in The Hague?
December 10th, 2006

There’s a lot of interesting stuff going on in The Hague right now ( the Arts are not being left out in the evolution of the Web) - an Underground Art Movement - of sorts (including using Web 2.0 as a means of collaboration between artists); the guy I know who has the inside scoop on what’s going on in The Hague - Marcus van Soest, who I’ve interviewed recently here.

According to van Soest:

I see the web as a playground a place for experiment, I want to meet people who enjoy Art as I do… As initiator of this platform I want to give free web space for those who want to promote their Art. The idea behind it is to create a place for cross-breeding between the disciplines. That fruit full co-operations may happen!”

Marcus van Soest is participating in a Art Talk on using Web by artists for real time communication and collaboration at the King Kong gallery on December 14th in the Hague.
