Ultra Mobile PC’s as a SmartMobs Device
December 16th, 2006

I’m looking at an online video of the UMPC with the idea this class of device will augment and might eventually replace the mobile phone as the dominant way SmartMobs communicate and collaborate.

The UMPC Community site appears to be more of a consortium of mobile PC device manufacturers such as the Samsung Q1 which is surprisingly affordable now (999.00 as of now at Best Buy) and similar offering from Asus, Founder and TabletKisok.

When you consider the higher end mobile phones are going for 500-600 USD and the lower end UMPC’s are almost at that range - in another year I predict the Low End UMPC’s will exist side by side with the mobile phone as a device.
