This DMeurope post says “Helsinki City Transport (HKL) has launched a trial of wireless local area network WLAN technology on a select number of public buses and trams, reports News Room Finland.Buses on routes 52, 52A, 58, 58B and 59, and some trams running on various lines will be outfitted with the wireless internet technology. Vehicles participating in the trial will be marked with stickers saying ‘WLAN – avoin internet.’ HKL said that mobile broadband service would give public transport vehicles a priority in traffic lights. Passengers will also be able to access the internet free of charge”.
