Here are links for those who are interested in collaboration in genetics science through data sharing. Some big private partners are undergoing what they call “precompetitive sharing”, i.e. sharing the data when research is still at the early steps, far from product development. As you will read it, those who share realise that they discover new innovation opportunities, and that validation of findings happens much faster when data are made available.

I think it is going to be very interesting to watch what is happening in this field, what shape may take sharing, what rules (if any) will appear, etc.
