The illustration is from a segment showing the goal of instructional designers to use Second Life: ‘to break’ the ‘hierarchical metaphor’ and construct a new three-dimensional metaphor in Second Life. The video describes the Second Life Campus of San Jose State University’s School of Library & Information Science. On May 16th a Grand Opening will be held in Second Life for this new campus. There are now thousands of educators experimenting and teaching in Second Life, apparently creating a major sector of the future of education.
