Dutch Pinkpop webtv broadcast enlightened by Tweets
May 29th, 2007

The dutch radio channel 3VOOR12 (twitterfeed) realized an international media primer by adding the comments of a group active twitterers to the webtv broadcasts of Pinkpop, the Netherlands most famous open-air festival from May 26-28.

Internetters of TodaysArt.nl added to it by offering a nice Pinkpop mashup localizing the respondents with Google maps.

VPRO’s chief Internet Erwin Blom (see slideshow of short stories twittered) called this mediaexperiment in an interview on Emerce successful and said it is likely to be expanded on future public events. Media-specialist Paul Molenaar said on his blog that ‘the Pinkpop interactiv experiment of these 3voor12 broadcasters gave him hope over the misty future of the public broadcasting system’.
