
Accompanying its unveiling this month of its new Greek and Roman Galleries, the Metropolitan Museum of Art has announced a new podcasting webpage that includes RSS links. Initial audio offerings are descriptions of the new classical galleries, the Leutze’s famed painting of ‘Washington Crossing the Delaware,’ actor Charles Turner reading descriptions of Parisian daily life by Henry Ossawa Tanner and a Louis Comfort Tiffany piece. The podcasts can be listened to online, downloaded as MP3s or enhanced audio files with images and read in transcript form. The Met’s new page uses state of the art digital technology to podcast art.
