National Caucus launches — can we re-smartmob democracy?

The National Caucus website just launched. I’ve been an adviser to this effort and strongly recommend it. The people behind it are thoughtful and have worked hard. The idea is to take back the public sphere in regard to the political nominating process in the USA. The Iowa Caucuses proved to be important back in the day when it was the earliest return in the party nominating races. Caucuses involve ordinary citizens discussing candidates and issues, which is a refreshing change from attack ads.

We are a consortium of partisan, bi-partisan and non-partisan interests working together to facilitate the National Presidential Caucus — helping the country be better prepared to select its nextpresident, not in haste, but through thousands of informed face to face discussions and thoughtful deliberations…
