The Citizens For Ethical Elections members believe that the health and welfare of all humanity, and, indeed, all life on the planet, is best served if the political institutions of the United States are held accountable by an informed and dynamic citizenry. As the cornerstone of this accountability is the American system of free and fair elections among an intelligent and principled electorate, CFEE is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the integrity of this process by leading an ongoing discussion focused specifically on the ethical characteristics of the process and of its participants and stakeholders.

Thank you, Smart Mobs — especially Howard and Judy — for your kind notice and mention of Citizens For Ethical Elections. It is my hope that through midwifing a community to monitor all aspects of the 2008 US presidential election from a global ethics-based perspective it will be possible to assist with re-smartmobbing democracy and improving the outlook for all life on the planet.
