HBO is making a Second Life Movie - a movie that takes place entirely in Second Life; the story comes from Valleywag care of Reuters but has nothing to do with Second Annual Second Life Movie Trailer Contest is “Second Life: Get One” that won the 2006 Second Life Movie Trailer Contest.

The problem with the HBO Movie is …. it’s not that good, in my opinion - but it does show a trend of using Virtual Worlds as a movie studio which I find intriguing.  According to Adam Pasick:

“… HBO said on Tuesday it has acquired the rights to a short-form documentary shot entirely within Second Life, as entertainment companies increasingly turn to virtual worlds as a source for new content.”

The Second Life Movie is called:  “My Second Life: The video diaries of Molotov Alta”.
