More mobile phone Quran
September 6th, 2007

Mobile phones are increasingly text-reading platforms. For example, one can now read verses from the Quran on a cell phone, using more venues than before, like Mobiquran. www.theholyquran.org makes each verse available for download to various devices in text and audio forms.

Quranic ringtones have been controversial since 2006. You could buy a phone preloaded with the text as far back as 2005.

Texts from other faiths have become increasingly available, like this South African Bible publication project.
