Businesses that profit from the wisdom of crowds
September 21st, 2007

Peter Himler writes Smartmobs:

I’m writing to see if smartmobs might have an interest in a soon-to-be-published book on collaboration in the workplace that itself was created using the wisdom of the crowds.

The book, WE ARE SMARTER THAN ME: Unleash the Power of Crowds Publication date: October 23, 2007; Wharton School Publishing; 176 pages; ISBN-13: 978-0132244794) by Barry Libert and Jon Spector, Foreword by Wikinomics author Don Tapscott, is the first book to show anyone in business how to profit from the wisdom of crowds.

Here’s a link to more details.

…and another to a Wall Street Journal piece that came out last fall when the project was first announced.

Let me know if you think this could work for you.

Kind regards,

Peter Himler

Thanks for this - I’m giving a presentation in December in Sydney on enterprise 2.0. I want to do it on what a company would look like if you threw out everything and worked only with web 2.0 and collaboration. Sort of ‘the enterprise as a social network’. I’m eager to read the book.
