Spektacle Magazine uses code image to change content
November 8th, 2007

A new print magazine changes the image behind printed code blocks to allow buyers to see updated content through their mobiles. It is called Spektacle: broadcasting on paper since 2007. A promo email explains:

Readers use their camera phones to snap QR codes contained within Spektacle and every week for two months, articles change behind each code, providing our readers with a rich-media experience compared to your regular printed magazine. And while a printed magazine goes out of date after one read, Spektacle readers have two months worth of articles to look forward to giving them extra value.
