Security Robot Recognizes Faces of Terrorists, Wanted People
December 4th, 2007

Sohgo Security Services Co. Ltd developed a security robot system that detects and reports specific people. This system was developed by installing a “face recognition capability” in “Reborg-Q,” a security robot system developed by the company. Tech-On reports.

When the robot recognizes a specific person by using the face recognition capability, it takes a snapshot of that person and reports to security guards.

The faces of people on a blacklist, such as terrorists and wanted people, are registered beforehand.”
