Can Karlo Be Saved?

This is a picture of Karlo, an impoverished Sudanese child. When the picture was taken he was very sick. A video on the front page of the New York Times tells his story. The video explains that we have “cracked the code on saving children’s lives.” It tell us that in 1960 20 million children died from illness in poverty, and that recently UNESCO announced that for the first time less than 10 million died in the past year. The new goal is to make that under 4 million. Numbers like these are very much worth sharing with the future-oriented readers of SmartMobs. Anyone who works on the future needs news like this video brought: Karlo got well.
