The Backlash on Social Utilities - Facebook

Recently I came across an incredible video on a thaumaturgical compendium which is both humorous and instructive. The video is humorous in that it is a brilliant critique of Facebook as a multifaceted social-utility, and instructive in that is demonstrates that “social-utilities” are increasingly being exposed to, and are experiencing a social-backlash. I wonder, if there was a backlash, whether it would be a backlash against bad policies - not social software. Seems to be the real issue isn’t social software/networking but stupid apps, bad design and questionable TOS, privacy, user controls.
