Does the use of social media necessitate changes in pedagogy?
July 25th, 2008

I’m using this widget as an experimental learning object. You can hover over it to find the link that will shut me up. You can click on reply, and if you have a Seesmic account, you can post a video reply, and a tiny thumbnail will appear that will enable others to view it. There’s another video accessible through a tab on the widget — the one by the brilliant mwesch that has been viewed over a million times. If you want ample reading about the pedagogical theory I refer to, the links tab will direct you. In other contexts, I am embedding this widget in a post in a teaching blog, to be followed by a discussion thread that can include text or other videos.
