The Joan Ganz Cooney Center, which supports research, innovation and investment in digital media technologies to advance children’s learning, has recently published a report entitled Pockets of Potential: Using Mobile Technologies to Promote Children’s Learning to highlight how mobile technologies are transforming the way children learn.
Joan Ganz Cooney, who co-founded the Children’s Television Workshop (Sesame Street), has a life-long commitment to children and learning and her center has inspired a series of publications which delve into “timely research” and “policy reports” about children, media and learning.
Just as Sesame Street helped transform television into a revolutionary tool for learning among young children four decades ago, advances in mobile technologies are showing enormous untapped educational potential for today’s generation.
I encourage you to read this report and share your thoughts and reflections here so we can start a conversation about it’s potential impact on our children and society.
