Leaked election results show Mahmoud Amadinejad came in third - Telegraph

The statistics, circulated on Iranian blogs and websites, claimed Mr Mousavi had won 19.1 million votes while Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had won only 5.7 million.

Can this be verified?

You might want to ask yourselves how much else that we’ve been fed about the Iranian elections is a complete fraud. The U.S. is desperate to find a reason to liberate Iran.

Deadly serious and somewhat hawkish ‘The Washington Quarterly’ published in 2006 an article on Iran saying that when you have the power to vet the candidates you can save yourself the trouble to stuff the ballotboxes. It’s important to have reliable facts and data to see whether the Revolutionary Council has broken its pattern and has allowed an election to be stolen. In that case Ahmadinejad’s already weak position would become untenable. If he won, even in the tweaked system, there is nothing much that we could or should do.
