Tibco Introduces New Social Computing Tool Called ‘tibbr’
December 9th, 2009

Social Computing Journal: Tibco Software launched a new Twitter-style communication tool known as tibbr, which it claims to take a new approach to enterprise social computing by allowing users to follow the specific communication patterns on business topics as well as devices on the network.

Tibco said that a tibbr topic can represent a user, an application or even a process relevant to a particular business user in an organization. Tibco’s new social tool will remove static and undesired information clutter and enables both business and consumer users to view de-duplicated activity streams and re-posts. tibbr allows information to be delivered in the form, frequency and manner of user’s preference while allowing dynamic sharing of business information and workflows.

Tibbr is expected be general availability in early 2010.
